The International Ambassadors Program offers multiple roles to engage with new international students and to be involved in the orientation process to play an integral role in the new student experience during the first few days on campus. Additional perks include free meals during the Orientation Programs, a t-shirt + swag, early move-in for undergraduate students, and life-long friendships with new Hoyas!
International Ambassador Coordinators are international students who, upon successful completion of the following duties, are awarded a stipend in the form of GOCard debit dollars.
- Serve as the first point of contact for International Ambassadors prior to orientation
- Host one pre-arrival webinar for incoming students prior to orientation
- Assist with organizational logistics during all orientation events
- Plan and coordinate Ambassador outings during orientation
International Department Mentors (DMs) are international graduate student volunteers who serve remotely as a mentor to incoming students in their academic program prior to orientation.
