Student Employment, Internships, and Training

Employment opportunities for F-1 and J-1 international students are restricted. Never accept or engage in paid or unpaid off-campus employment, internships, fellowships, or other training without prior authorization from OGS. International students should not plan to meet their education or personal living expenses through employment earnings.

  • Extension of OPT up to 24 months ONLY for students with a current OPT period and a degree in a STEM field
