- Work off-campus prior to graduation
- Employment does not need to relate to major field of study
- Need job offer from accepted international organization to apply
- Need government approval
F-1 Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- Work off-campus after graduation (up to 12 months)
- Position directly related to major field of study
- Need government approval
F-1 STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- Extension of Optional Practical Training up to 24 months ONLY for students with a current OPT period and a degree in a STEM field
- Need job offer to apply
- Need government approval

J-1 On-Campus Employment

- Must renew authorization each semester
